Connor Cummins started a scoring blitz of three goals in a 90-second span when he opened the scoring at 4:10. Jacob Harris made it 2-0, and Nathan Pancel scored the first of his two goals just seven seconds later. Nathan Cull and Connor Crisp scored before the period was over. A power-play goal by Dominik Kubalik made it 6-0 Sudbury (15-9-6) in the second period, before Andrew Goldberg got one for Mississauga (13-16-3) at 11:10. Pancel scored his second goal 17 seconds into the third period to make it 7-1, and Dominik Kahun rounded out the scoring. Franky Palazzese made 26 saves for the Wolves. Steelheads goalie Spencer Martin was lifted at 5:40 of the opening period after allowing his third goal on seven shots.
