  • Blizzard has a different strategy for WoTLK Gold beta testing using Dragonflight that will conduct more targeted tests on smaller portions of content that are running at a faster speed than normal. Dragonflight is set to release before the end of the year. A XP boost event will take place over the next two weeks in order to help returning players build new characters in preparation for Shadowlands Season 4. and Dragonflight.

We've written our hands-on impressions for Dragonflight's latest Evoker class as well as its brand new Azure Span zone here.

It is believed that the WoW: Dragonflight alpha and data mining has revealed possible new inclusion features for the MMO. These new features alter and include additional steps for character creation, allowing for more player customization.

One of these inclusion options can be seen in the latest alpha version of Dragonflight. Within the creator of the characters, options of body types are labeled "Body 1" as well as "Body 2." Prior to Dragonflight and even in the current release of the game they were labeled "Male" and "Female." Persons of all ages fit into more than two body types, however, the separation of gender from even these specific body types is an indication of an accommodating character design. Other games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Halo Infinite have used similar languages.

As discovered by Wowhead data mining, cheap WOW WoTLK Classic Gold strings provide the possibility of pronouns being used in a variety of ways, including "she/her," "he/him," and "they/them." The way the selection will be made or whether it will be implemented has yet to be seen. In the report of Wowhead, WoW generally does not utilize pronouns for players directly, instead using gender neutral titles like "hero" as well as "champion" in place. The gender of the character and pronouns are not discussed within the majority of player UI elements. However, the change would coincide with a declared goal of additional possibilities for customization of characters and the possibility for changing the character's voice which is a popular option in creators of character. With that context, these are basic, but welcome features that can allow for more gender expression.
